Kuwait mills target sales growth, reduce rebar prices
Kuwaiti mills have lowered their rebar prices to regain domestic market share lost to Omani and Saudi suppliers.
Retail rebar prices in Kuwait declined despite some improvement in demand after the Eid holidays. Traders started offering local rebar at KD 185-188/tonne ($600-610) delivered versus early-April tags of KD 191-193/t delivered. The low end is on cash and high end on a credit basis, notes Kallanish.
