Kobe Steel targets consolidation and automotive sector
Japan’s Kobe Steel plans to consolidate upstream steelmaking and focus its output on products to reduce the weight of automotive vehicles in its latest strategic plan to 2020. The company has been making investments in its cold heading quality (CHQ) wire facilities across Asia, Kallanish notes.
