Kobe Steel sees tough fiscal first nine months
Japan’s Kobe Steel saw its losses deepen in the first nine months of its financial year 2016 as sales in the company’s Iron and Steel segment tumbled, Kallanish notes. The company has reacted quickly to the loss by planning to rebuild its construction machinery business in China (see related article).
