Klöckner takes goodwill impairment hit on US business
Germany’s Klöckner & Co says in an announcement that it recognises impairments on the complete goodwill of its North American activities to the value of around €270 million ($295m).
The steel distribution group’s announcement comes as the market environment for steel and metal products in the USA has once worsened beyond its expectations in the current year, Klöckner says.
