KIOCL gets Karnataka iron, manganese ore lease
The Karnataka government has granted KIOCL a mining lease for iron ore and manganese ore, over an area of 388 hectares for a period of 50 years, the firm says in a note seen by Kallanish. The area is located in Devadari Range, Sandur Taluk, Ballari District.
KIOCL recently restarted its Mangalore iron ore pelletising plant following the annulment of India’s 45% iron ore pellet export duty (see Kallanish passim).
