Khorasan breaks DRI output record following EAF commissioning
The launch last year of Khorasan Steel’s second electric arc furnace meltshop has led Iran’s fourth-largest steelmaker to increase direct reduced iron production. DRI output is seen rising further once the firm’s iron ore pelletising plant is commissioned, providing raw materials supply security, according to Khorasan Steel DRI plant director Farshid Fazilati.
