Kazakhstan’s steel output increases in May
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in May compared with the previous month, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 387,227 tonnes, up 5.6% month-on-month and 13.2% higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes. In the January-May period, steel production was 1.68 million tonnes, 3.6% more on-year.
