Kardemir struggles to sell higher-priced rebar
Kardemir published a new price list and opened sales for rebar on Thursday, Kallanish notes.
Rebar in diameters of 12-32mm was increased by TRY 465/tonne ($15/t) and 36-40mm was hiked by TRY 525/t ($17/t) to TRY 19,165/t and TRY 19,315/t, respectively, versus Kardemir’s previous list on 10 January.
Prices quoted are ex-works and exclude 18% VAT.
Despite its deferred payment option, Kardemir is heard to have sold only around 23…
