Kardemir sells slightly more billet at new prices
Kardemir published a new price list and opened sales for billet in its domestic market on Thursday, Kallanish notes. It struggled to shift volumes, however, amid lower-priced Russian billet offers and bearish sentiment in Turkey.
Variety 150mm square, 6-12m-long billet prices were decreased by $39/tonne from the previous price list issued on 17 May to $678-683/t.
Prices quoted are ex-works and exclude 18% VAT.
