Kardemir plans second-quarter billet sales increase
Kardemir plans to sell a higher share of semi-finished product than rebar again in the second quarter, as it did in Q1. Overall Q2 sales are projected to increase by 64,000 tonnes compared to Q1 targets to 567,000t.
The Turkish integrated steelmaker plans to sell 125,000t of rebar, down from 140,000t in Q1. Kardemir plans to increase wire rod sales by 24,000t to 135,000t. Sales of sections, including rail, are expected to increase by 11,000t to 111,000t.…
