Kanto Tetsugen's Japanese scrap export prices flatten
Kanto Tetsugen's latest monthly export tender for Japanese scrap from Tokyo Bay last Friday indicated the market was stabilising, Kallanish notes.
The Kanto Tetsugen Cooperative Association auction on 9 August awarded bids from Toyota Tsusho Material for 15,000 tonnes of scrap at JPY 27,810/tonne ($263/t) and from Sangyo Shinko for 10,000t, at JPY 27,570/t.
