Kanto Tetsugen's Japanese scrap export prices dip
Kanto Tetsugen's latest monthly export tender for Japanese scrap from Tokyo Bay reflects a weaker market, Kallanish notes.
The Kanto Tetsugen Cooperative Association auction on Friday awarded four winning bids totaling 20,200 tonnes at an average of JPY 30,597/tonne ($279/t) fas, equivalent to around JPY 31,597/t fob. This is JPY 1,703/t lower than last month’s tender which took place on 10 April.
