JSW Steel raises crude steel production
JSW Group’s consolidated crude steel production surged 28% on-year to 5.35 million tonnes in the December quarter, against 4.18mt a year earlier. Standalone production rose 8% to 4.41mt during the period. The figures exclude new capacity trial production, Kallanish notes.
JSW Steel’s standalone capacity utilisation was noted at 94% in the December quarter. Production from JSW’s Dolvi phase-2 expansion was 180,000t.
