Jiugang relaunches 2,500cum blast furnace
After a nine-month overhaul, Jiuquan Iron & Steel (Jiugang) in Gansu province put its No.7 2,500-cubic-metre blast furnace into operation on 30 June as planned. The unit has a 2.13 million tonnes/year iron capacity, Kallanish notes.
