Japanese steel output ends 2022 with drop

Japanese steel production fell sharply in December and over calendar-year 2022, according to data from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (Jisf). Crude steel output was still up from 2020, but remains well below pre-Covid levels, Kallanish notes.
