Japanese scrap spirals upwards again

The upswing in Japanese scrap prices continues as reflected by a recent export tender as well as Hyundai Steel and Tokyo Steel raising their purchasing prices, Kallanish notes. Last Friday, Econecol posted the highest and second-highest bids in the 12 January Kanto Tetsugen auction for scrap to be exported from Tokyo Bay.
