Japanese scrap export tender rises slightly
Kanto Tetsugen's latest monthly export tender for Japanese scrap from Tokyo Bay reflects a slight rise, Kallanish notes.
Sangyo Shinko secured a 15,000-tonne cargo at JPY 34,300/tonne ($309/t) fas for H2 grade scrap in the scrap grouping's 11 July tender. This is JPY 330/t higher than last month’s tender award price of JPY 34,000/t and is equivalent to around JPY 35,300/t fob.
