Japanese scrap export, domestic prices rise
Japanese scrap export prices have risen in the latest Kanto Tetsugen monthly export tender for the second consecutive month, Kallanish notes.
In the latest tender, which opened on 9 February, Daisen Sangyo was awarded 6,000 tonnes of H2 grade scrap at JPY 53,510/tonne ($409/t) fas and Houei Trading secured 5,500t at JPY 53,200/t.
