Japanese scrap auction sees firm bidding
A monthly tender for Japanese scrap exports reflect firmer prices, Kallanish notes.
The Kanto Tetsugen auction on Tuesday for scrap to be exported from Tokyo Bay attracted a highest bid of JPY 32,230/tonne ($294/mt) free-alongside ship, regional trading sources said. The next highest bid was from the same company, Sangyo Shinko, at JPY 32,220/t fas.
