Italian wire rod prices decline
Italian wire rod prices are decreasing due to a continued buyer-seller standoff caused by a strong consumption decline, market participants tell Kallanish.
Both producers and drawing mills continue to implement production stoppages to balance demand and supply. This week, the market has been particularly quiet due to the bank and bridge All Saints holiday. Domestic producers have been curbing output since September, but this is not helping to reduce overcapacity.
