Italian stainless scrap rises again on soaring nickel
Italian stainless scrap prices are increasing again after the first contracts at the beginning of September were already implemented at rising values compared to August. This is due to skyrocketing nickel prices, which have gained around $1,000/tonne compared to the first days of the month.
Scrap sales volumes in Italy have also rebounded significantly this month after the August summer break, market sources tell Kallanish.
