Italian stainless scrap increases, Arvedi integrates AST
Italian stainless scrap prices are increasing sharply again on-month thanks to hiking raw materials spot contracts for nickel, molybdenum and chromium.
At present, mills and merchants are signing the first contracts of the year as the sector has returned from the Christmas holiday break this week. Compared to December, prices are up over €100/tonne ($113/t) and more, particularly for the 316 grade.
