Italian scrap prices surge
Italian scrap prices are increasing substantially, by €25/tonne ($26) on average compared to last month. Demand for demolition grades E1, E3 and shredded E40 is strong and therefore price hikes steep, while E8 new arisings continues to be less fashionable, market participants say.
