Italian scrap prices increase
After a few days of uncertainty, Italian scrap prices are increasing again significantly, by €20-40/tonne ($23-46) compared to the end of October.
Following subdued activity last week, demand is gaining momentum but some scrap grades such as packs of new arisings E8 are in short supply. Some appetite has also resumed also for the low demolition grades E1 that went down to €290/t delivered in October.
E1 is now being transacted at €330-335/t deliver…
