Italian scrap prices decline
Italian scrap price expectations are for a decline of €5-10/tonne ($5.4-10.9) depending on mill. Large contracts are however being discussed and will be agreed in the coming days.
Some Italian long steel mills will idle their plants on Friday, only to restart production on 17 April, in an effort to balance demand and supply. The scrap volumes ordered are average for a short April month, which will see the Easter and 25 April holidays slow activity. For five dā¦
