Italian scrap import contract values increase on-month
Italian scrap import contracts from other European countries are increasing by €15/tonne ($16) compared to November for automotive grades of E8 new arisings, but also for lower grades such as steel turnings E5.
This month, Italian domestic scrap has spiked again with values for the high E8 quality touching €550/t delivered and €520-530/t for the E8 mixed grade. These grades are in short supply throughout Europe.
