Italian scrap import contract prices increase
Italian contracts for scrap imports from Germany, France and Eastern Europe have still not been agreed this month, apart from certain mills that are buying from Germany and France.
Prices in some August contracts have increased by about €40/tonne ($40.7) compared to July, but most mills are refusing to pay increases. They are aiming to book imported new arisings E8 at €340-350/t delivered, market participants tell Kallanish.
