Italian mills import high scrap volumes from Europe
Italian contracts for scrap imports from Germany, France and Eastern Europe have lost some €10/tonne ($9.9) month-on-month. Despite the very weak demand reported at Italian mills at the beginning of the month, sellers say they will export good volumes into Italy this month after buying improved.
