Italian mills decrease scrap prices
After the substantial scrap price increase of December, Italian mills are communicating a price decline of between €10-20/tonne ($11-22) depending on grade and for any new contract until the beginning of the Christmas holiday next week.
The market is now in a lull as most mills implemented their scrap purchases for the month at increased prices. Demand is said to be particularly quiet.
