Italian merchant bar prices increase
Italian merchant bar producers have increased their prices again this week by €20-30/tonne ($22-34), market participants tell Kallanish. The move is mostly due to rising energy costs, which are greater in Italy than in other European countries, since Italy is a net importer of gas and electricity.
