Italian longs prices flatten in uncertain market
Italian long steel prices are flattening this week against the backdrop of a very slow market hampered by uncertainty, sources tell Kallanish.
Merchant bar values are stable on January but under pressure from cheaper material coming from Spain. Distributors and end-users continue to buy small tonnages regularly and sometimes put off their purchasing decisions by a week, hoping sellers will give them some discount.
