Italian scrap import prices plateau
Italian contract prices for scrap imports from Germany, France and Eastern Europe are flattening this month, in line with domestic and European prices.
Suppliers are reporting strong demand from Italy but lower intake of grades such as shredded E40, chiselled E1 and demolition grade E3, while E8 new arisings continues to be largely available, Kallanish hears.
