Italian billet prices decline
Italian billet prices are declining in line with the downturn of the steel sector in the country, buyers tell Kallanish.
From a level of €395/tonne ($444.7/t) delivered, domestic billet prices have now fallen to €385-390/t delivered in transactions. There are no Italian billet exports to other Mediterranean countries. Italian sellers are offering billet at €400/t fob but this price is considered too high for Northern Africa, Kallanish hears.
