Iron ore surges over New Year holiday

Seaborne iron ore prices in China jumped in the last week of December, as China's official post-Covid reopening announcement spurred a recovery in market sentiment. The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index gained $6.15/t over last week to $118.71/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao.
