Vision suspends Botswana iron ore operations, considers steelworks
Vision Ridge has suspended iron ore mining at Ikongwe Mine, the sole iron ore mine in Botswana, due to a drop in export prices of the mineral.
The mine, owned by Botswana-registered Vision Ridge Investments, a subsidiary of India’s Yashomann Industries, began commercial production in July 2021 after it received a mining licence from the Botswanan government in April 2021.
