Iron ore gains on stronger futures
Seaborne iron ore prices surged on Wednesday as steel futures rebounded.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and KORE 65% Fe index both increased by $2.62/t to $113.47/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $128.79/dmt cfr. The KORE 58% Fe index, meanwhile, was $6.82/t higher at $99.39/dmt cfr.
On public platforms, 80,000t of Mac Fines were sold at $109.4/t for shipment in August. Meanwhile, 100,000t of JMBF Fines were booked at a floating price for shipment in August.
