Iran's Opal Parsian signs contract to double capacity
Sangan-based Opal Parsian has signed a contract for the construction of a second iron ore concentration plant, Kallanish learns from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).
The €145 million ($178m) investment will add 2.4 million tonnes/year of iron ore concentrate capacity to Opal Parsian’s existing 2.6m t/y design capability. Commissioning is expected in 29 months’ time.
