Esco billet export tender dispels price softening concerns
On Sunday, Iran's sole blast furnace-route steelmaker Esfahan Steel Company's (ESCO)’s 150mm 5sp billet tender was closed at $473/tonne fob Iran, for an end-October-readiness 30,000-tonne parcel, Kallanish understands.
The finalised tender proves that Iranian billet export prices for October/November shipments will be at around $470-475/t fob, in line with predictions.
