India’s February semi exports plunge, flat steel surges
Indian semi-finished steel exports plunged 56.23% on-year to 135,750 tonnes in February against 310,155t a year earlier, according to Indian commerce ministry data.
Nepal was the by far the largest market in February, reducing intake by 59.7% to 45,969.88t. Other markets included Sri Lanka (43,421.07t), Kenya (23,971.64t), Indonesia (20,236.54t), and Egypt (2,002.60t).
