Indian steel production rises despite lower consumption, exports
Indian crude steel production grew 2% on-year to 9.83 million tonnes in November, against 9.61mt last year, according to worldsteel data. Output, however, fell 2% on-month against 10.05mt in October. India produced 107.31mt of crude steel in January-November, up by 19% on-year, Kallanish notes.
