Indian scrap rises amid pause in Turkey bookings
Following the pause in Turkish scrap bookings amid a meeting between Turkish mills and the government to discuss post-earthquake reconstruction rebar requirement, Indian imported scrap offers have risen significantly this week.
Bookings were, however, low on the back of slowed domestic finished steel demand ahead of the Holi festival, but demand is expected to pick up post-festival, sources tell Kallanish.
