Indian mills outmuscle competition, bag GCC HRC orders
Indian mills have concluded deals for boron-added pipemaking and structural grades of hot rolled coil during the last two weeks in the Gulf Cooperation Council market.
The deals total nearly 78,000 tonnes, sold at $710-740/tonne cfr GCC for end-July/August shipment. The price range varies based on tonnage and mill. The supplying mills examine ordered sizes and thicknesses individually before confirming each order, Kallanish notes.
