Indian imported scrap market faces stalemate
Indian demand for imported scrap has remained bearish into the third week of June, with no major trades concluded, notes Kallanish.
A bid-offer mismatch persists, with UK/EU origin shredded scrap offers at $413-416/t and bids at $405-410/t. West-African origin HMS (80:20) scrap prices are at $387-392/t and Malaysia-origin busheling scrap is between $435-440/t. All prices are cfr Nhava Sheva, India.
