India scrap demand slows, freight limits price drop
Indian demand for imported scrap remains sluggish, continuing a trend for nearly two months, notes Kallanish.
Prices for West-Africa origin HMS (80:20) scrap are at around $385-390/tonne, and UK/EU-origin shredded scrap offers are at around $410-415/t cfr Nhava Sheva, India. However, bids are lower, at $400-405/t cfr.
