Hyundai pauses Russian production, Volvo suspends activity
South Korean carmaker Hyundai’s plant in Russia has temporarily suspended production due to a shortage of semiconductors amid ongoing global logistical disruptions in the supply of auto components.
The company plans to resume production on 9 March. The plant in St. Petersburg has periodically encountered interruptions in the supply of chip components, starting from the end of 2020.
