HBIS, BHP sign CCUS project
China's Hebei Iron & Steel Group (HBIS) and global miner BHP have signed an agreement on 27 March in Beijing for piloting carbon capture and utilisation technology.
As part of this new project, HBIS and BHP will trial pilot-scale demonstrations of carbon capture and utilisation technologies at HBIS' steel operations in China, Kallanish learns. HBIS Chairman Yu Yong and BHP CEO Mike Henry attended the signing ceremony.
