Hangang officially begins relocation process
The Secretary of the Communist Party Organisation Committee of Hebei Province, Fan Zhuobin, wants Hebei Iron & Steel subsidiary Handan Iron & Steel (Hangang) to move out of Handan city to reduce PM2.5 emissions. According to an inspection report by the Central Environmental Protection Group released in October 2018, Hangang contributed about 20% of PM2.5 in Handan's main urban areas.
