Habas enriches range with mill expansion
Turkish steelmaker Habas has placed an order with SMS Group to expand its compact hot strip mill to a high-performance hot strip mill, the technology supplier says.
Penned for commissioning in early 2023 at the principal Aliaga plant, the upgraded mill will expand Habas' range of steel grades to include HSLA, pipe grades and multi-phase steel. It will be able to roll slab up to 225mm thick and 2,100mm wide, and 12m in length. It will produce hot…
