Global rig count flattens out in December
The number of working oil and gas rigs operating worldwide hardly moved month-on-month in December 2019, according to the Baker Hughes monthly rig count, monitored by Kallanish. A small decrease in numbers in the North American region was counterbalanced by a similar rise in international market.
The number of rigs operating in the US fell by quantity 6 on-month to 804 in December, while those in Canada slipped by just one to 135.
