Global oil and gas rig count slips again
The number of working oil and gas rigs operating worldwide fell again month-on-month in October 2019 according to the Baker Hughes monthly rig count, monitored by Kallanish. This was due primarily to a fall in rig numbers in the US, as the international count barely moved from September.
The number of rigs operating in the US fell by 30 on-month to 848 in October. Numbers in Canada rose by 13 rigs m-o-m, following a decrease in September.
